RISE Services Inc. Family Support Professional (FSP)
A part-time Family Support Professional (FSP) works directly with children and adults in a Professional Parent, Host home or afterschool setting with a range of emotional, behavioral and medical needs. FSP's act as positive role models and are mentors through direct supervision. In addition, FSP's participate and help develop daily skill activities for and with the people they support in a one on one or group setting.
A FSP could be assigned to one of the following roles:
1) FSP: FSP's work one on one with people. Most shifts last approximately 2-5 hours, and typically begin in the evenings on weekdays and various times throughout the weekend. Shift responsibilities include safe transportation of the people we support (personal vehicle required), line-of-sight supervision, planning and participating in activities to build and model appropriate skills.
2) FSP Afterschool Program: FSP Afterschool Program staff work with kids in a therapeutic/skill based group setting. Shifts begin after school hours Monday-Friday and last approximately 2-3 hours. Shift responsibilities include safe transportation of kids (personal vehicle required), line-of-sight supervision, engaging in group activities, reinforcing positive behavior using a token system and collecting/record data daily.
We are hiring dedicated people in the social services field who are interested in working with kids and adults who are striving to improve behavioral and therapeutic goals. The position is part time with evening and weekend hours to accommodate school schedules.

FSPs are required to pass a federal background check, have a valid diver's license, proof of insurance and access to a vehicle to be used for transportation of people they support.
This position will provide excellent practical work experience and necessary skills for those looking to enter the social services field. In addition, this position gives you the opportunity to make a difference in the life of people and to help improve the local community. Credit toward Internship and practicum hours may be given
